VIGERS: Ronald Ernest « Ron » – passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the Stratford General Hospital. Ron Vigers of RR#1 Stratford in his 81st year.
Beloved husband of Kay (Hyde) Vigers who he married November 15, 1969. Dear father of Jill Vigers Davies (Todd) of Ariss and Scott Vigers (Stephanie) of Guelph. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Nikole (Dan), Taylor, Tanner, Cody and Talia. Survived by his sister Coralie Vigers (Rob). Remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law Jack Hyde (Jackie), Ruth Mabely (late Rod) and Deb Matresky (Keith).
Family was everything to Ron, enjoying time at the cottage at Gibson Lake and water skiing with family and friends. Friends neighbors and fun were so important throughout his life. As was the home and pond he created with Kay. He loved his Corvettes (have to be red) and of course tractors (that had to be green) « John Deere »
Ron’s working career started with Bell Canada and after 32 years his retirement led him to driving truck for Cargill, Klem Transport and Joe Bell Trucking.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St. N. Tavistock on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 1:30 until 3:30pm. A private family service will take place later with interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery at a later time.
