Margie Lynne McBain was born February 17, 1956 to Robert and Dona (Taylor) McBain, longtime residents of Virden, Manitoba.
As a non-verbal person, Margie had special needs and attended programs offered by the local association of the mentally handicapped during her youth. Margie spent several years in various institutions and care homes in southern Manitoba but was fortunate in finally being relocated to Virden. She has spent over thirty years in excellent care in her home at 540 King Street. The Association of Community Living (ACL) was instrumental in providing exemplary quality of life and a safe environment for her.
Margie is survived by sister Del (Ed) Fearns, brother Jim (Audrey) and sister Laurie (Don) Wardley. Margie also has several nieces and nephews.
Margie will be missed by her friends and the staff at ACL as well as the townspeople who would greet her while on their various excursions.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the many people and friends at ACL, Virden Hospital and volunteers who helped to ease Margie’s sufferings.
Though we live far away, Margie was always a part of our hearts.
May she rest in peace and forever be remembered with love.
