It is with great sadness that the family of David Zuckernick announces his peaceful passing on Friday, May 17, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by family, in his ninetieth year. He leaves behind his loving, devoted and adoring wife and love of his life for sixty-four years, Hester (nee Sheps). Son of the late Alter and the late Rose. Dear father and father-in-law of Richard and Robyn (Toronto), Jeffery and Emily (Hawaii), Paul and Carol (Calgary). A loving and immensely proud grandfather of Julia (Toronto) and Jake (Edmonton), Adam (Hawaii), Ben and Joe (Calgary). Brother and brother-in-law of the late Harry and the late Rosalyn, the late Frank and the late Katie, the late Doris, and the late Joe Glickman. Brother-in-law of Dee Dee and Mike Green (Tucson, AZ). David will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank everyone at Chateau Renoir Retirement Living and Southwood Hospice in Calgary, Alberta.
Graveside service will take place at Chevra Kadisha, 17818 37th street SW, Calgary, Alberta at 11:00 a.m. (local time) on Monday, May 20. Shiva at Chateau Renoir Retirement, 9229 16th Street SW, Calgary, Alberta T2V 5H3, from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and conclude on Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospice of your choice.
