Yvonne Watson
Watson, Yvonne Marie – Age 84, Truro. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Vonnie Watson, on October 27, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro with family members at her bedside. Born in Truro on September 14, 1940, Vonnie was a daughter of the late Hugh and Gwen Morrisey, Hilden.
Vonnie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Laurie Watson; son, Daniel Watson (Rhonda); sisters, Elda Johnson and Joyce Blaikie; grandchildren, Angela (David) Henderson, Alisha (Sam) Cino, Terry (Amber) Arnold, Chantal Keizer; great grandchildren, Alex (Jerika) Henderson, Chris, Joclyn and Andria Henderson, Kyah Cino, Clark and Max Keizer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vonnie was predeceased by her sister, Carol Matthews.
Vonnie was a member of the Salmon River Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed many years of volunteer work in sharing her bible-based hope with others. She had a reputation of having a very positive caring personality that endeared her to everyone that she had the privilege of talking to.
Special thanks to all the CCA and VON staff who provided in home care to Vonnie for many years, to help her cope with multiple health challenges. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hilden Cemetery or the Kingdom Hall.
A Memorial service will be held on November 2nd at 2pm in the Truro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Waller Drive, Truro.
