FAZARI, Yolanda – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yolanda on Monday, October 2, 2023 in her 99th year. Yolanda immigrated from San Giorgio Morgeto, Reggio Calabria to Canada in 1957. She worked several jobs, then found employment with Wabasso and worked there for 26 years. Yolanda was an avid gardener and landscaper, which was a testament to her love of the outdoors. Yolanda was predeceased by her parents Arcangelo and Maria Teresa Fazari, siblings Pietro, Michele, and Serina, and also her sister-in-law Annunziata. She is survived by her sister-in-law Annuziata (Nancy), niece Teresa Angi (Sam), nephews Angelo, Angelo (Carla), Ugo (Marisa) and Domenic (Joy). Yolanda is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. The Fazari family would like the thank her caregivers, especially Justine and Ola, palliative care nurse Kim and everyone at Paramed and St. Elizabeth’s who were instrumental in her care. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 2 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 2 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Rite if Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Wellspring Niagara would greatly be appreciated. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.
