Obituary of Yim Ting Seto
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, we said good-bye to our mom, Yim Ting Seto, age 99, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Dick (deceased 2015) for 65 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children – Wally (Joy), Kim (Leonard), Jane (Scott) and Peter; her grandchildren – Karen, Sharon (Derek), Raymond, Anna (Ken), Nancy (Craig) and Amy (Andrew); and her great-grandchildren – Neko, Molly, Charlie and Naomi. She will also be missed by her younger brother Blair (Judy) and many extended family members.
Mom was a great cook who loved preparing meals for her family. She was a gifted gardener who loved to grow flowers and vegetables, particularly Chinese winter melons. She also enjoyed getting together with friends and family to play mahjong and socialize. Mom also enjoyed cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, even when they lost. We were very fortunate to call her our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and we will miss her dearly.
Arrangements have been made for a private family funeral to be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home.
