BENHAM, William, 54 of Port Joli. The family are deeply saddened to announce his sudden passing on Saturday October 26, 2024. He was the son of Janice (Williams) Benham and the late William Hercules Benham.
Willie will be greatly missed by his family, his fishing community and his camping buddies. He was a Lobster Fisherman of 35 years in District 33 who loved to be on the water. A true hearted Country Man, proud Bampy and Life of the party. Music always followed him, where he was you would find a guitar and maybe even his bass. Willie found his way back to his first love after 25 years spending the last years of his life surrounded by true love, happiness and family.
He is survived by his soulmate Patricia Ann Benham (Buchanan), his Daughter Victoria Buchanan (Steve) of Fredericton, son Colby Benham (Starr) of Port L’Hebert. Stepdaughters; Deanna Holmes (Chris), Monica Holmes (Kamden). Grandchildren; Isabella Webster of Fredericton, Johnathan Webster of Fredericton, Carter Benham of Port L’Hebert, his mother, Janice Benham of East Green Harbour, brother, Stephen Benham (Tammy), sister, Amanda Bullick (Chris) of Sable River and best friend Burns Thompson as well as his fur baby Jessy.
Predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father, William Hercules Benham, and ex-father-in-law, Butch Himmelman.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
