Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Born in Toronto on March 9, 1949, William John Thomas Clarke Bateman of Owen Sound, was in his 75th year.
Beloved husband of Janice (nee Rowe) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Amanda (Rob) Keto of Kentucky. Cherished grandpa of Zachari. Dear brother of Dorothy (Ken) Archer of Barrie. John will also be missed by his extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Frank Bateman and Dorothy Brash, Stepdad Fred Harris and by his brother Lyndon and his sister Irene.
John loved to pray, study The Bible and cheer for his Toronto sports teams.
A funeral service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Calvary Evangelical Missionary Church, 665 10th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-4179, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
