William Francis Pinsent Obituary
William or Bill, as he was often called, passed away unexpectedly at his home on the 29th December, 2023. Bill had retired from the Newfoundland Railway in 1988 and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus in Bishop’s Falls.
He is predeceased by his wife Louise, his parents, John and Mary, as well as his sister Loretta Keough and brother-in-law Gus.
His son Gregory (Judy); and daughter Tanya (Benjamin) and two granddaughters, Abby and Ciarra will mourn the loss with broken hearts. He also leaves to mourn his sister Aggie (Gerald) Costello; his sisters-in-law Susan (Elvis) Hemeon and Verna (Ponch) Curtis; brother-in-law Gerald (Lorraine); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
His recent partner, Eudora, and her family will also feel the devastation from his passing.
He was a devoted father and grandfather and loved having his grandchildren visit him, unfortunately we were so far away. He called every day or every other day to check on us and truly cared about our lives. He always had a story to tell and his goal was to make someone laugh. The stories may be a little bit exaggerated but funny nonetheless. He enjoyed a good cup of Tim Horton’s and loved tormenting his daughter about not having access to turkey. He enjoyed his music and loved to travel around Newfoundland. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
