It is with great sadness that we announce that William “Bill” Wosik, a man of great pride and
character, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday November 28 at the
age of 92.
He is survived by his sister Helen, 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren,
and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Bill had a long and distinguished career of over 30 years with the Toronto Police Service earning
the Police Exemplary Service Medal. His strong work ethic carried on into his retirement where he continued to work in various fields well into his 80’s. His hobbies included playing numerous musical instruments and he also loved to cook and appreciated great food and wine.
Bill was also extremely knowledgeable and skilled with his hands. He took great pride in building two homes and many backyard decks for friends and family.
Bill’s legacy will live on through the countless memories and stories he shared and he will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
