Thomson, William (Bill) 1932-2023
It is with sadness that the family announces that Bill passed away on April 25, 2023.
He is the son of Robert and Adeline Thomson, who was born in Streetsville, Ontario.
Bill is predeceased by his daughter Heather Ruth-Anne Thomson, older brother Jim, twin brother Robert (Bob),
sisters Dorothy Hunt & Margaret-Peggy Sales.
Bill is survived by his sister Irene Rear and by his beloved wife Ruth Marion Thomson,
who is presently is living at Northridge Long Term Care Home in Oakville.
Bill loved his wife and will miss her with all his heart.
Bill leaves behind his son, Michael WM Thomson with his fiancée Crissy Thomson, grandson Mark Thomson
and wife Sofia Garduno Guzman, his son Peter and wife Lisa Riendeau-Thomson & grandchildren
Brook & Victoria, daughter Jody Thomson, son-in-law Terry Wood, grandchildren Lauren & Callum Wood.
Bill enjoyed working for many years at his company he founded “Tombro Trucking “ , originally in Streetsville.
He then moved the company to Milton. Even when Bill retired, he loved to visit the company that he
passed down to his two sons. Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife Ruth taking
long drives, enjoyed all his visits at family luncheons, hunting at his Camp and
many fishing trips with his friends.
Bill will be sadly missed from all who loved this kind and generous man.
At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McKersie & Early Funeral Home in Milton, Ontario
