Obituary
Born in Calgary, Bill obtained his primary education at St. Mary’s Boys School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
Growing up Bill enjoyed playing many sports; hockey and golf being his favorites. He became an avid hockey player spending many hours at the rink.
Later in life, if he wasn’t at the rink watching the Hitmen with his family, he could be found hanging out on the wall of the Stampede Corral «in photos».
Bill worked in the oil and gas industry for many years and was one of the founding owners of Caltech Surveys.
Bill was always proud of his yard and spent many hours perfecting it. After he retired, looking after his own yard was not enough so he became a greens keeper at the golf course.
Faith was very important to Bill, and he was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Anastasia. He is survived by his loving wife Pat (nee Stange), his daughters Terry and Michelle, his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Marc Byers, and their sons Rob and Brad. He will be missed by his family, his former work colleagues, friends, and we mustn’t forget his coffee buddies from Mickey D’s.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Mary’s Cathedral (219 18 Ave SW) on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Please join the family at Willow Park Golf & Country Club (639 Willow Park Drive SE) on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 1:30-3:30 pm.
