Went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Jean (née Skelly) for 60 years. Loving father of Steve (Denise) and Greg (Beth). Proud grandfather of Cassandra, Tyler, Amy (Dale), Ben, Matt and great grandfather of Sylvie. Dear brother of Marion McNally (the late Billy), Ann McFadden (the late Raymond) and the late Doris Simons (the late Billy). Dear brother-in-law to William Skelly (Jennifer), as well as Margaret Nowotarski (Andrew). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 from 9 am until the time of service in the Chapel at 10 am. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering inside the lower lounge from 11-12:30 pm. A private interment will take place at a later date at the Little Brick Cemetery in Oro Station.
Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family.
