Obituary for William Andrew Dennis (Bill or Andrew)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William Andrew Dennis, known to many as Bill or Andrew, who left us on October 9th at the age of 62. Andrew was born on November 30, 1961, in Bowmanville, Ontario, to Amil and Lorna (née Prosser) Dennis.
With a worldly perspective and a genuine interest in people from all walks of life, Andrew’s journey was filled with diverse and rich experiences. Raised in the small village of Kendal, Ontario, he eagerly embraced opportunities to explore beyond its confines. He participated in a youth program that took him to Sri Lanka and British Columbia, and he later spent several years in London, UK, before returning to city life in Toronto.
In recent years, Andrew pursued his passion for hobby farming, cherishing the company of various farm animals, especially his beloved dogs, who were his dearest companions. He was known for his gentle spirit, warmth, and kindness, along with a deep appreciation for the arts and a passionate interest in the natural world.
Andrew is survived by his father, Amil Dennis, his siblings Kathy (Rick), David (Sue), Don, Kris (Jeff), and Sandy (James), as well as many loving nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorna.
In accordance with Andrew’s wishes, a private family gathering will take place to spread his ashes in locations that resonate with his spirit and energy.
