It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Whitney Kathleen Marie Whitlock at the age of 36, in Edmonton, Ab.
Whitney was born in Calgary, Ab on October 11, 1986, where she spent the first 2 weeks of her life before moving to Sherwood Park, Ab. Whitney attended Bev Facey High School where she enjoyed the drama club and making friends. Whitney loved to ride and be around horses, so naturally she was a member of both the Josephberg Riding Club, and the Salisbury Gymkhana Club. She will be dearly missed by her parents, David and Daphne, little sister Hayley and her special friend Shane Kyos, and a large extended family including Donna (Larry) Jardine, Duane (Joy) Dukart, Darcy Dukart, Debbie (Tony) Tuchscherer, Dellyne (Mark) Dukart, David and Natalie Dukart (God Parents), Deidra (Glen) Maurer, Deanne (Clint) Harkins, Delores Dukart, Colleen Whitlock, and Shirley Spinks. Whitney was predeceased by her Grandparents Marcus and Evelyn Dukart, and Ken and Kathleen Whitlock, as well as her Uncle Dan Dukart, Aunt Penny Dukart, Uncle Glenn Spinks, Uncle Ken Whitlock and Uncle Larry Jardine.
Whitney’s love of animals, especially dogs and horses, began early in her childhood, and continued throughout her life, with her loyal and constant companion Onix by her side and other fur babies including Beans and Brodie through her life.
A celebration of Whitney’s life will be held Saturday June 10, 2023 @ 2:00 pm at Park Place Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Broadway Blvd Sherwood Park, Alberta, T8H 21C
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Whitney’s memory be made to Zoe’s Animal Rescue, AARCS, SCARS, Paws & Claws Animal Rescue, or the animal rescue of your choice.
Whitney will always be dearly loved and remain in our hearts forever.
