Betty passed away sadly and peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the ravishing age of 94.
Born in Toronto on November 15, 1928, a daughter of the late James and Charlotte (nee Barton) Cridland.
Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Leslie ‘Les’ Bradbeer.
She was the much-loved mother of Bruce Lamb, Ginny Lamb, Paul Lamb, and was predeceased by her son Robert Lamb.
Betty was the fun loving and proud Grandma of Ty Lamb, Aidyn Lamb, Oakalani Lamb, Danielle Demeny, Kristin Demeny and great-grandmother or “Gigi” to Freya.
She was the sister of Jim Cridland and was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Brown.
It is difficult to find the words to describe Betty, she was unique and wonderful. She lived life large both in character and in love. It did not matter if you were a stranger, a friend or family member, you were always greeted with open arms and the biggest pink lipped kiss upon your cheek. She was proud of her career, working as the secretary to the President of Unilever and was even more proud of her Christian Faith. Betty loved to jet set away during the winter months to her fabulous Florida lifestyle where she mingled daily with her friends and spent time with her step-son Glenn White, his wife Debra and their daughter Casey-May. Her favourite place was tucked in the woods, nestled tightly in her beautiful schoolhouse in Bracebridge. The blush pink walls, lace linens and serene porch hideaway is the scene she set, that clearly depicted the colourful character Betty was. It was here where she built memories with her family and late husband Les Bradbeer. This will always be remembered as ‘home’.

A private family service of committal will take place at Markdale Cemetery in the Spring.
