It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Wendy Spitznagel (nee Mosgrove) on Monday, August 7th, 2023. The greatest joys of Wendy’s life were her sons, Curtis and Ryan, and her grandchildren, Evelyn, Landon, and Charlie. Wendy will be missed dearly by her partner George Commanda, sons, Curtis Spitznagel (Sheena) and Ryan Spitznagel (Jennifer), and grandchildren, Evelyn, Landon, and Charlie. She is predeceased by her mother and father Geraldine and Lawrence Mosgrove, brother and sister Peter (Sylvie) and Martha Mosgrove, and survived by her sisters and brothers Wanda Forster (Fred) and Larry (Mendy) Mosgrove. Wendy will be remembered for her contagious laugh and kind, caring heart. She saw the best in people and was often there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Wendy deeply loved all those she cared about. Wendy wrote these words, words that she truly believed and we can all take something from them: Life is short. We spend so much time sweating the small stuff; gossiping, comparing, complaining, wishing, wanting, and waiting for something bigger and better instead of focusing on all the simple blessings that surround us every day. Life is so fragile and all it takes is one single moment to change everything you take for granted. Focus on what’s important and be grateful! You are blessed! Believe it! Live your life and leave no regrets.
