Peacefully at his residence on Thursday, October 24, 2024, Wayne Whitesell of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 83 years. Devoted husband of 59 years but together for 66 years to his wife Elaine (nee Ferguson). Loving father to Shelley Whitesell and her husband Paul O’Melia; Jeffrey Whitesell and his wife Patrycja. Proud grandfather to Kate, Coryn, Trevor, Megan and Teah. Cherished brother to Charlotte Sandor and her husband John. Predeceased by his parents Glen and Emma and his sister Deanna.
Wayne loved spending time at Long Point and was known for his famous Fish Fry’s with his family. Spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and golfing was how he enjoyed his leisure time.
A private funeral was held for Wayne. A public Celebration of Life will be held Sunday November 24, 2024 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 16 Durham St., Tillsonburg from 2:30pm until 4:30pm. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the charity of your choice and can be done directly with the charity online or via cheque payable to the charity.
