It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Wayne Joseph Power of Little Bay announces his passing. Wayne passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, at the age of 60.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Jean of 23 years; son, Travis Power (Melissa) of Marystown; grandchildren, Jaylen and Lylah; father, Maurice Power of Little Bay; sisters, Rosanna Warren (Jeff) of Burin, Rhoda Power of Little Bay and Sonya Power of St. John’s; brothers, Albert Power (Clara) of Regina, SK, Maurice Power (Dinah) of Grand Prairie, AB, Dave Power (Paulette) of Little Bay and Rick Power of St. John’s; sisters-in-law, Lillian Rennie (Bill) of Little Bay, Doreen Green (Harvey) of Burin and Cora Mills (Rob) of St. John’s; brothers-in-law, Clarence Hillier (Marg) of St. Lawrence, Aubrey «Junior» Hillier (Debbie) of Glenwood, David Hillier (Karen) of Milton, ON and Earl Hillier (Shelley) of Burin; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Maude Power; sister, Darlene Grams; baby brother, Maurice; parents-in-law, Aubrey & Melinda Hillier; and brother-in-law, Darryl Mills.
Wayne had a heart of gold, he loved to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his family dearly especially spending time with his precious grandkids. Anyone who knew Wayne knew how much he loved the outdoors, riding his ATV and fishing. He had a great love for music, especially a night of karaoke with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by the love of his life, and best friend, Jean, son Travis & Melissa, grandkids, Jaylen & Lylah, his father, Maurice & siblings.
The Power Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Marystown on

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2023 at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery.
In Wayne’s memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Power Family.
