JOHNSON, Wayne Donald, passed away on June 2, 2024, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on April 22, 1954, he was a son to the late Everett Smith and Jennie Johnson Boudreau. Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a talented musician and played in many local bands, including Muddy Shoes, Cobra, Win-Fall, and the Back Yard Blues Band. He was energetic, upbeat, and always had a joke or story to tell. An extremely hard worker, Wayne held many jobs throughout his life, including Tim Hortons in Halifax for 25 years, a mink ranch in Raynardton, maintenance at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, and Dayton Fruit and Vegetable. He is survived by his son, Johnathan (Rachel) Stevenson; his siblings, Patricia (Clifford) Johnson, Wanda (Rory) Johnson, Margaret (Floyd) Lawrence, Karen (Leonard) Johnson, Lisa (Dustin) Johnson, Colbert Jarvis, Ray Jarvis, Max Jarvis and Judy Jarvis, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Everett Jarvis and sisters Rosella Jarvis and Donna Jarvis. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of Wayne’s life will take place Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
