Obituary
Passed suddenly away at his home, on February 7, 2024, Wayne Bishop, of Cavendish, aged 67 years.
Predeceased by his parents Harrison and Alma Bishop; parents-in-law Elwin and Violet Bryant; brother Harrison Bishop Jr. (Irene); nephew Tyler Bishop; niece Lesley Anne Bishop; sisters-in-law Marilyn Crocker and Barbara Sooley; brother-in-law Tom Soul; as well as many other loved ones who passed before him.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his wife, of 45 years, Joan; children Bradley (Lori), Jenny (Steven) Jackson, Ashley (Jeff) Green, Adam (Stephanie); his precious grandchildren, who were his whole world, Sam, Ethan, Jolene, Erika, Nathan, Oakley, Brooklyn and Austin; siblings Lester (Viola), Wally (Bet), Dorothy (Clyde) Cooper, Mae (Kevin) Pretty, Clarence (Pam), Ina (Glenn) Sooley, Phyllis (Paul) Chislett, and Cathy (Jerry) Chislett; brothers and sisters-in-law Virginia (Jim) Fost, Jack Sooley, Jean Bryant, Lewis (Elsa) Bryant, Gord Crocker, Bev (Bruce) Canning, Marie (Roger) Jackson, Clyde (Una) Bryant, Evelyn (Barry) Brace, Mary (Bob) Rowe, and Jackie (Derrick) Cumby; special aunts Margaret Rowe and Nellie Reid; special friends Kenneth and Fay Critch, Deshaun and Dana Wright and Martin Campbell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wayne enjoyed his daily walks around the harbour and any day in the woods cutting trees, was a good day. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from the Cavendish Community Centre on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held from the Cavendish Community Centre on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Cavendish Anglican Cemetery.
