It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wane Taylor on December 8th, 2023.
Wane will be dearly missed by his partner in life Connie, mother Shirley, son Jesse (Natalie), daughter Darrien (Trent), and grandchildren Cameron and Margot. His absence will also be felt by his sister Linda Mayrhofer, brother-in-law Eric Mayrhofer, nephews Nolan and Aaron (Tara) and great niece and nephew Paris and Miles. Wane was also a Grandpa to the children of Connie’s son Josh (RJ and Tasha) and daughter Joelene (Austin, Dylan, and Brady). His passing will be felt by the many friends he made over his life.
Wane was a prominent figure in the sawmill industry in BC and Alberta, known far and wide within his trade. He was our family’s jack of all trades and was always found welding, fixing, or building with music playing in the background. One of his guitars was always close by. He was an important part of the Adams Lake community, working at the sawmill and the Adam’s Lake Store.
A celebration of life will take place at his favourite place, his home on Adams Lake, 8838 Holding Road at 1:00 on Saturday, December 16th. This will include a potluck style meal, so if you are able, please bring a communal dish of your choosing to share with Wane’s friends and family. Please dress warmly as it will be outside. There will be a tent and campfires, but dress accordingly.
