Obituary
Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Western Long Term Care Facility, palliative care unit on January 2nd, 2024, Wanda Charlotte Lavina Spracklin, at the age 66 years, surrounded by her loving family.
Mom leaves to mourn husband of 50 years Gordon, children; Derrick (Krista), Cormack, Sandra (Jason), Hampden, Glenda, St. Jude’s. Nan’s boy Ryan (Ashley) Deer Lake. Her other grand boys; Tyler (Kelsi), Jordan (Kiera), Ricky (Cynthia), Gordie (Robyn), Devon, Isaac, and Isaiah. Her 2 granddaughters; Rebecca & Robyn (Patrick), great-grandchildren; Brooklyn, Ryan, Kayla, Sawyer, Blaire, & Grayson, her brother; Cecil.
Pre-deceased by parents: Andrew/Clara Critch, sister’s Margaret & Mona, brothers; John, Max, Lloyd, David, & Charlie, sister-in-law; Jane Critch, mother and father in law; Cecil & Betty Spracklin, brother in laws; Donald & Wayne Spracklin, Ray Felthem, son-in-law; Carl Rubia.
Mom’s grandchildren were a very important part of her life. Mom had a passion for cooking & baking. Mom’s pies were the “BEST”, coconut cream and lemon meringues were to die for!
The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 5th, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennett’s Ave, Deer Lake, with Pastor Jeffrey White and Pastor Andrea White officiating with the interment to follow at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Cormack, NL.
