Obituary
Walter Clarence Melanson, 77 of Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on November 14th, 2023.
Anyone who knows Starr and Walter knows that they were inseparable and have done everything in life together and wanted their love story to end in the same way so there will not be a service held at this time. They wish to have their lives celebrated as a couple.
Walter was born in St – Damien NB, to Aubrey Melanson and Léda Gaudet on April 10, 1946. He worked as a Truck Driver for Armour/Clarke Transport, and had a country band for over 25 yrs-Rawhide was definitely his 2nd love. His first Love was his beautiful wife, his family and playing music. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, darts and bowling.
Walter is survived by his wife Starr (Wilson) of Berry Mills, his 3 children – Belinda (Danny), Lisa (Maurice) and Walter (Marilou), his brother, Robert (Bob/Beaver) and sister Dora Savoie; his 6 grandchildren, Ashley Nichols, Courtney Steeves, Dominique Couture, Jocelyne Vautour, Olivier and Zoé Melanson; and 4 great grandchildren, Makayla, Daryn, Léo and Élouise as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Léda, Father, Aubrey and brother Edouard (Eddy).
Memorial donations may be made to the extra Mural program in Moncton NB. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the medical staff at the Moncton Hospital and the wonderful care provided to our family, by the nurses from Extra Mural.
