It is with profound grief we announce the passing of Walter Paul Bannon on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 1:59 p.m. Husband, father, papa, uncle and brother, we are all devastated by our loss.
Born on May 8th, 1957 in Fort William, Ontario, Canada. Walter (Greycloud) was a man who loved many aspects of life, he was kind and protected all who couldn’t. He loved animals, children, riding his Harley and always had advice for anyone who seeked it from him. Our father would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Above all our father’s most prized possessions on earth were his wife, Simone, his children and many grandchildren.
Walter will forever be in the heart of his loving and devoted wife, Simone, a love story so rich and full, it transcends all rules of time and space.
Walter will be forever loved and missed by his children Theresa (Mike), Bobby-Lee (Dean), Shane, Shyra (Jesse), nieces and nephews he took as children, Tanya (Shane), Ashley (Alexie) and Kevin, grandchildren Shania, Angel, Raven, Rhianna, Julie, Jade, Chloe, Naomi and Landon, brother Bryron Green (Chantal), sisters Michelle Green (Eric), Cheryl (Pat). Predeceased by his father Wilbert Bannon Senior, mother Gladys Green, sisters Sharon Bannon and Faye Anne Green.
Walter will be joining his best friends Gambit, Luka, Duke (his beloved dogs) and will be missed by his Ducky. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at the Fort William First Nation Community Centre from 11:30am – 1:00pm. All donations in his name can be made to Thunder Bay Humane Society.
