It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathleen Walsh Talarico in her 101st year on December 2, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Frank Talarico and by her daughter Carla Talarico. She is survived by her children, Jim (Beverly Robb), Patricia (James Guy), Frank (Jacqueline McGuire) and by her grandchildren, Dee Talarico-Rand (Paul Rand), Kathleen Guy (Scott Cowan), Trevor Guy (Carolyn Coles Guy), Bianca Talarico (Jay Hollon), Giancarlo Talarico (Chantal Stafford-Abbott) and Francesco Talarico (Véronique Tanguay). She was a great grandmother to Maxwell Rand, Sarah and Lauren Guy-Cowan, Nicholas and Thomas Guy, and Laurel Talarico. She will be fondly remembered by her niece Brenda Cooke Boyar (Steve Boyar) and other nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Kay was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 15, 1923 where she resided for most of her life until moving to Cape Breton, NS in 1990, and thereafter returning to Montreal in 2013. She was a caring and devoted wife and family matriarch, who was generous in heart and spirit as well as being a fabulous cook, world traveller and a true fashionista.
The family wishes to thank her companions Nancy and Lois as well as the staff at Ste. Anne’s Hospital in Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue for their compassionate care.
