It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Wallace Samuel Pike of Lewin’s Cove, NL (formerly of St. Lawrence) announce his passing. Wallace (Wally) passed away peacefully at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family on January 1, 2024.
Leaving to mourn with precious and loving memories are his daughter Kylie Pike (Bailey Whittle) of Marystown, son Joshua Hynes (Sara Hall) Winnipeg, Manitoba, his beloved mother Helen Pike of St. Lawrence, sisters, Heather Strang (Steve) of Wabush, Viola Deazley (Doug) of Vaughan NS, brothers, Jim (Pam)of St. Lawrence, Wade (Renita)of St. Lawrence, life-long best friend, Bob Fry of Goulds NL, special family friend, Mr. William Peach, plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Wallace is predeceased by his father Edgar Pike, grandparents Dinah & Giles Pike and Elizabeth & James Rogers
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who lovingly cared for Wally. Special mention to Nurse Stephanie Banfield whose unwavering compassion helped us all through this most difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
