It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wahib Salameh on October 24th 2024, who left this world surrounded by the love of his family. Wahib was the devoted and loving husband of Insaf Salameh. Together, they built a family rooted in strong traditions, love, and integrity.
Wahib is survived by his children: Charles and Nicole Salameh, Lana and Tony Nicosia, Najwa and Rob Cagnin, and William and Vera Salameh. His grandchildren, Jessica, Lucas, Claudia, Joey, Noah, Christian, Gabriella, Adrian, and Romina, and his newest great-grandchild Owen who were the light of his life. As a father, grandfather and great grandfather, Wahib was caring and dedicated, serving as the foundation for the new generations of his family.
Having immigrated in the 1960s, Wahib marshaled his family through many challenges and triumphs, becoming the proud patriarch. His legacy will live on through the traditions and values he imparted to his children and grandchildren, forever rooted in his belief in God and family.
Wahib was also cherished by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-laws, and sisters-in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. His presence was a guiding force in their lives as well.
He will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to those he loved, and the strength he provided to all who knew him..
May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by God’s love.
We will miss him dearly.
His family will receive friends at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Rd. E. on Sunday, October 27th from 1-4 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place on Monday, October 28th at 10:30am in the chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
