McNutt – 99,
Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023 at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Framingham,
Massachusetts, USA, she was a daughter of the late Roland Wright, Sr.
and Helen (Roode) (Wright) Totten, and stepdaughter of the late Anna
Wright.
Vivian was a member of the former Calvary Pentecostal Church.
She worked at Stanfield’s as a seamstress and then became
the Owner/Operator of the canteen at Maritime Cattle Market. She loved
old time dancing, especially polka and waltz, but her greatest love
was all of her family. She was the matriarch of our family and we will
miss her dearly.
Vivian is survived by her children, Joan Forbes, Salmon
River; Gary McNutt, Salmon River; William (Joan) McNutt, Salmon River;
Albert McNutt (Peter Wenk), Truro; Valerie McNutt (Micha Beaumont),
Bridgewater; Kevin (Carla) McNutt, Murray Siding; Tanya (Lee) Page,
Brookfield; siblings, Edward (Evelin) Wright, Tacoma, Washington; Gail
(Harold) Goodwin, Punta Gorda, Florida; Richard (Margaret) Wright,
Pembroke, Massachusetts; Elizabeth (John) McCarney, Franklin,
Massachusetts; Edith (Arthur) McDaniel, Punta Gorda, Florida; several
grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews; sister, Blanche MacKenzie, Greenfield; sister-in-law,
Alice Wright, Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Along with her parents and step-mother, she was predeceased
by her husband, Leo Logan McNutt; daughter, Bonnie McEwen; son, Murray
McNutt; son-in-law, Leroy McCready; granddaughter, Michelle
McNutt-Pearce; grandson, Michael McNutt in infancy; siblings, Donald
Wright, Frances (Doris) Wright, Rose (Armando) Camberos, Roland (Anne)
Wright, Jr., Arnold Wright, Michael Wright; brother-in-law, Harold
MacKenzie.
Special thanks are extended to family doctor, Dr. Nina
Makkar, Dr. David Henderson and Palliative Care Team at Colchester
East Hants Health Centre and special friend, Lewis O’Connell
who visited and prayed with Mom weekly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Vivian’s
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023,
and funeral service 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Reception
will follow. Spring interment in Crossroads Cemetery, 110 Salmon River
Road, Valley. If so desired, donations in Vivian’s memory to
Colchester SPCA or Colchester Food Bank are welcomed. Private messages
