Obituary For Vivian Bernette Balderston
November 7, 1936 – December 12, 2024
Vivian Bernette Balderston was born November 7th, 1936 – the eighth and youngest child of Sigurd and Inga Haugland. She passed away on December 12th, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
Vivian was the devoted wife to Gilbert and a cherished Mother to Susan, Kurt and Joanne. Throughout her life she was the heart of her family and an active member of her community and her church. She enjoyed gardening, curling, playing cards, dancing, doing puzzles and being surrounded by family. Anyone who knew her appreciated her quiet, gentle nature.
She is survived by her husband, children, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. We are grateful she is now at rest with her Lord and the family who predeceased her.
We would like to say thank you to the staff at Homecare and Mackenzie Place, and a very special thank you to Kathy Green, Carol Shinski, and Trina Isley-Sorensen for the wonderful care they provided our Mom.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held on Thursday December 19th, 2024 at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (11802 99 Avenue).
A livestream link will be available below for those to join us virtually to celebrate Vivian’s life.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Vivian to a charity of one’s choice.
