Virginia Te Obituary
Virginia San Jose Te was born on February 19, 1927 to Waya Tan and Trinidad San Jose in Hagonoy, Bulacan, Philippines. She was fondly called “Viring”, “Ate Viring”, “Aling Viring” by family and friends; “Lola” to grandson Casey and “Mama” to her children, nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of 3 siblings. Her brother died when he was still a child. Her sister Belen died 10 years ago.
She was very active in the community in Hagonoy and also helped her sister and brother-in-law manage their wholesale/retail grocery business. She lived in Hagonoy until she met her husband Johnny and moved to Manila with him. They had four children – Annaliza, Jaime, Marinet (her angel), and Shirley. Virginia was a very good seamstress and a very good cook. She also enjoyed gardening and travelling with her friends in the Philippines and in the USA.
In March 2007, she moved to Milton, Ontario, Canada to be with her daughter Shirley and her son Jaime who lives nearby. Her daughter Annaliza resides in New York and visited frequently. She found a group of senior friends in the community; they frequently get together and that made her stay in Canada more enjoyable.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer less than a year ago which caused her to decline and finally succumbed to her death
on May 26, 2024.
She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched – her children, grandson, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Sat. June 15, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Benedict Parish in Milton, followed by the interment at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
