It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Vincent on September 18, 2023 at 92 years of age.
Loving husband of 34 years to Dela (nee Perrone). Father of Maria Dattilo-Faraci, Paul Dattilo (Melissa). Cherished nonno of Pasquale Faraci (Kyrié), Anthony Faraci (Michelle), Daniel Faraci, Adam Vincent Dattilo, Justin Dattilo (Brynna) and Bianca Dattilo, his precious princess. Special bisnonno of Isaak, Cayde Vincent and Leo Faraci and Nina Dattilo.
Predeceased by parents Giustino and Adela Gri and father and mother-in-law Carmelo and Angela Rosa Perrone. Survived by brother-in-law, Ettore Perrone (Ruthanne), Tony (lovingly remembered as Tony Bologna) Perrone (Laurie). Reunited with sisters-in-law, Luisa Chiodo (Goffredo), Edevige Amante (Antonio), Elvira Gigliotti (Frank), Maria, and brother-in-law, Paul Perrone (Lauretta).
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family in Canada and Italy. Very special Zio to Franca Selva and Annalisa Oliva and families.
He will always be forever grateful for his special friends, Maria Ferrone, Annie Hirst and Maria Khawaja and families.
His favourite kitty Bella will miss his cuddles.
Vincent was a long-time member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. He retired after 43 dedicated years of service from Es Terminal Railway. He was also a very talented butcher in the community. His family enjoyed his passion for fine meats, gardening and dancing, especially with his sweet Dela.
A special thank you to the nurses, Doctors and staff at Windsor Regional Metropolitan Hospital for their compassionate care shown towards Vincent.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Visiting will resume on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 10:30am until time of service 11:30am at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. 519-969-5841. Procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for Entombment to follow.
