It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Vera, 89 years, at CKHA, Public General Campus on Friday, March 31st, 2023. She was surrounded by her family as she gently passed into her next life with the Lord. She was predeceased by her mother Margaret (Kennedy), father Herman Cartier and husband of 58 years, Ronald Sadler Sr.
Loving mother of Ronald Sadler Jr. and wife Linda of Kitchener, Geri Buckley and wife Laurie Varcoe of Innisfill, Scott Sadler and wife Diane of London, Richard Sadler and wife Denise of Chatham, 7 grandchildren-Kyle, Chris, Bobby, Vikki, Jenn, Andrea, Sebastien and 8 great-grandchildren-Bronson, Brooklyn, Landon, Cole, Holly, Noah, Callie, Sophie who were the light of her life and brought her immense joy and laughter.
Vera is survived by one sister Mary Lou Bechard of Markham. She joins in eternal rest her siblings Edward, Wilfred, Henry, Helen, Harry, Alfred, Julia, Robert, Catherine, and Clara.
Time with family was always a priority and brought Vera great joy. Vera loved a good game of cards and even her grandkids had to earn their points in their attempt to beat her. Vera was a lifelong parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. Vera enjoyed many years of volunteering with St. Joe’s Hospital guild, Blessed Sacrament CWL, and St. Vincent De Paul organizations.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Kendrick Funeral Home (4 Victoria Ave., Chatham) Monday, April 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Parish prayers will begin at 7 p.m. with Deacon Steve Cartier. The mass of Resurrection will be at Blessed Sacrament Church (145 Victoria Ave, Chatham) Tuesday, April 4th at 10 a.m. officiated by Fr. Dariusz Lewandowski. Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
