Vera Lorene (Robinson) Scott passed away at Hastings Centennial Manor on August 24, 2024 at the age of 97 following a lengthy decline. Vera Scott, beloved wife of the late Jack Scott, loving mother of Larry & Monica of Courtice, Clarke & Brenda of Papineau Lake, Roween Card of Ennismore, Grant of Lake St. Peter, John & Cindy of Bancroft and Brenda & Monty Douglas of Peterborough. She was predeceased by her son David, by her son in law, Jack Card and by her daughter in law, Mary. Vera will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christa, Jodi, Rayna, Tricia, Jaime, Andrea, Jaclyn, Chanel, Jasmine, Jonathan, Matthew, Jesse, Jack and spouses and children. Vera is also predeceased by her siblings, John David, Emerson, Carmel and Mary. She and Jack owned and operated Scott’s General Store in Maynooth for many years and raised their family there. Vera was an active member of St. Andrew’s-Bethel United Church in Maynooth. She loved watching the birds around her home, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, attending family events, anything to do with her grandchildren, being GG to her great grandchildren, cooking and baking. Vera’s no nonsense approach and wonderful sense of humour will live on as her legacy. Vera, may you now rest peacefully.
