Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Valdemira Ferreira on May 10, 2024, at the age of 84. Valdemira was the beloved spouse of the late Venerando Ferreira, with whom she shared 59 years of unwavering love and companionship until his passing in 2022. Predeceased by her parents Manuel and Irondina.
Valdemira was a devoted mother to Zenobia (Jose Manuel) Moniz, Venerando, Urbino, Rosaria (Carlos) Limoeiro, Paulo (Cidalia), Joao (Geraldina), Imaculada (Larry) Garcia, Simao, and Mariano. She took immense pride and joy in her role as a grandmother to her 17 cherished grandchildren.
Valdemira will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her extensive family network, including brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends in Canada, the United States, and Azores, Portugal. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and PSW’s for their compassionate care and support. We will never forget her passion for family, cooking, the church and all her projects for the Holy Spirit and Senhor Santo Cristo.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 2 – 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
