Playford, Tom
Passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 peacefully with his family by his side at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph at the age of 67.
Remembered by his beloved wife and best friend Sherry (Gregory) Playford of 40 years. Dear father of Sarah Playford and Chris Leyland. Devoted Grandpa of Peyton Leyland. Brother of Carol and Paul Ridgers, Bruce and Lois Playford, Joanne Playford, Lori and Karen Courser; brother-in-law of Sandra Gregory, Sharon Gregory and son-in-law of Mary Ann and Oliver Gregory.
Tom did landscaping and snow removal for 25 years in the Elmira area.
Predeceased by his parents Bob and Ruth (Kurt) Playford, sister Sue and brothers Mark and Rob.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at the Elmira Legion, Branch 469, 11 First St. E., Elmira.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Care would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s palliative team for the wonderful care provided to Tom.
