Roes, Todd Curtis
Passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by the love of his family and friends at Hospice Waterloo, on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the age of 43.
Beloved husband of Erin for 14 years. Proud and devoted father to Lucas, Mark, Alli, and John. Dear son of Don Roes, and Caralee (Geoff) Angus. Brother of Chad (Tania) Roes, and Kricia (Brandon) Heyer, and stepbrother of Jordan, Matthew and Julia Angus. Grandson of Pearl and the late Mahlon Roes, and Laverne and Marjorie Schwartzentruber. Loving son-in-law of Dave and Sheri Murray and Darcy Franko-Felice and Al Felice. Brother-in-law of Kyle (Krista) Murray and Sydni Felice (Cody Jarcew). Will be missed by nieces and nephews Ellie and Simon Roes, Lewa and Toby Heyer, and Landon Murray, and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and colleagues.
Todd was a dedicated paramedic with the City of Guelph for 16 years. He was a committed member of Woodside Bible Fellowship and had a deep faith that he loved to share with others. He was also very involved in the Foundation Christian School community, having served on the Board of Directors since 2018. Above all else, Todd was a devoted husband and father, and could always be found cheering his kids on, whether it be on the field, rink or dance stage.
Despite the challenges of his cancer journey, Todd’s faith was unwavering, and his greatest wish was for others to share in his love and knowledge of Christ. Despite our sorrow, we rejoice in knowing Todd is now with Jesus.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the church, followed by a private interment in Rushes Cemetery, Wellesley. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed through Todd’s tribute page on the Dreisinger Funeral Home website.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Todd’s memory can be made by etransfer to the ‘Building Faith’ expansion project at Foundation Christian School, which Todd was central to developing. A GoFundMe for Todd’s children has also been set up. Links for both can be found on Todd’s tribute page.
