Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Lee Manor on Friday, November 17, 2023. Born in Holland on April 20, 1929, Tjitske Bouma (nee Abma) of Owen Sound, was in her 95th year.
Beloved husband of Frank Bouma of Owen Sound. Loving mother of Frances (George Pullen) of Grand Valley, Jerry (Vi Becker) of Edmonton, Marilyn of Toronto, Kathy (Raymond Soucy) of Fergus, Sandra of Toronto and Tim (Celeste) of Ottawa. Cherished Beppe of Burke, Carrah, Rosalind, Jean-Paul, Serena, Noah, Yannick and Phoenix. Dear great grandma of 7 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Klaske Bokma and Ruurd Abma, both of The Netherlands, and dear sister in law of Botje Bouma, Ruurtje Elzinga and Reinske Bouma. Tina was a special aunt to the Bergstra Family here in Canada, and she will also be missed by many nieces and nephews from The Netherlands.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Veenstra and the staff at Lee Manor for the care and compassion they showed towards Mom over the years.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, November 23, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Tina’s life will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 201 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound, 519-376-2787, on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
