Obituary
Payton, Thomas William… Passed away at the Belleville General Hospital unexpectedly and peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of 61 years. Beloved & devoted husband to Tracy Clarke of Trenton. Loving father of Jenny Goodwin (Jeff), Benjamin Payton (Jamie Derry), Ethan and August O’Hara. Proud Grampy of Nolan, Felix, Payton and Penelope. Thomas will be remembered by his siblings; Sue Stevens (John Hamill), Laurie Payton (Klaus Walter) and Peter Payton (Tammie). Thomas is the dear son to Joan Payton & late James «Jim» Payton and son in law to Dianne Briggs (Ernie) and also Dolores Clarke and the late Wayne Clarke. Thomas will be remembered by his nieces; Aimee, Selena, Addie, Kristen, Kennedy, Seneca and nephews; Scott, Tanner and Dylan. Thomas will be fondly remembered by his brothers and band mates in music. Music was a passion to Thomas and he was able to reach so many with his talent. Thomas loved his job as a pre planning funeral director with Weaver’s and he will be truly missed by all who knew him and had the pleasure to work with him. Outside of work or playing music he loved spending days looking after his pool, his yard and hitting the open road on his motorcycle. Thomas was also very proud of his 18 years of Sobriety up until his last day.
The family will receive friends at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 7-9 pm and again on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10-12 with funeral ceremony to follow at 12 at the Weaver Life Centre. Spring Interment will take place at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses from the ICU unit of the Belleville General Hospital for all their care and compassion during his time there.
