It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Patrick Philpott, age 91, on June 29, 2024 at the Bonavista Hospital.
Tom (as he was fondly known) enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He grew and lived by the water and was a fisherman for many years. He loved being in the woods and took great pride and pleasure in tending to his potato gardens.
Predeceased by his parents John and Bridgett Philpott and brother William Philpott. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine (Katie); niece Allison Rougeau (Dan); nephews Brian and Stewart Philpott. Always in his heart his special cousins who were like sons to him, Michael, Blair and Ambrose Philpott; as well as a large circle of friends including his cousin Dave and Corrine Philpott.
Sincere thanks to the staff at the Bonavista Hospital for their professionalism and compassion; and to his homecare worker, Corrina Maloney for her friendship and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations greatly accepted for the Bonavista Hospital, in his memory.
Cremation has taken place.
