Thomas Kuntz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kuntz on July 30, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Danelle, children Shelly Norris (Brian), Michael Kuntz (Andrea), Christopher Kuntz (Shannon), Charles Kuntz (April), sister Vivian Dooley (Barry), and sister-in-law Doreen Kuntz. He is also survived by grandchildren: Mike Norris (Colleen), Chris Norris (Jenn), Mitch Norris (Laura), Drew Kuntz, and Hailey Kuntz and great grandchildren Storrie, Arlo, Ethan, Mason, and Everett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Eugenia, sister Anna (Steve), and brothers William and Theodore.
Tom was born on January 21, 1931, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and raised on the family farm at Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. Tom left home in his early teens to work as a farm hand in the Cluny/Gleichen, Alberta area, and this is where he met Danelle. They were married in November 1958, and moved to High River, Alberta in 1960, where Tom worked as the parts man and shop foreman at Central Motors. In 1971, Tom and Danelle moved to Arrowwood and took over the family farm, which is where they raised their family and were faithful stewards of the land until a recent move to Calgary.
Following a private family gathering at the farm, there will be a come-and-go community luncheon at the Arrowwood Community Hall on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
If friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made in Tom’s name to the charity of their choice.
