WELLS, Theresa (née Fleck) – Passed away peacefully at Louise Marshall Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2024 in her 95th year.
Loving mother of Rose Wells and the late Larry McCorquodale, Theresa Cummings and Nate Dickinson, Cathy Wells, Bill and Nancy Wells. Cherished grandmother of Jason and Lanaie Cummings, Justine and Dwight Smith, Tori Cummings and Kyle Madill, Nikki McQuade and Len Dyck, Allie McCorquodale and Shawn DeLaat, Kiarra Wells and Luke Penelton, William Wells. Adored great-grandmother (Granny) of Nolan, Colby, Morgan, Liam, Deacon, Ryann, Wren, Ronan and Athena. Sister-in-law of Reike Boss. She was predeceased by her husband William Wells, parents Mathias and Maria Fleck, sisters Susanna and Vincent Cekavicius, Maria and Martin Schuster, brothers Steve and Mieke Fleck, Karl Fleck, and Adolph Fleck.
Theresa immigrated to Canada in 1954, and married her beloved husband, William Wells in 1956 in Toronto. Theresa along with William owned and operated Bill’s Restaurant (1967-1978). She enjoyed playing Euchre, geography and history, she was known as a favourite cook to many. Above all she loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Sunday, December 22nd from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Purification Roman Catholic Church, 310 Parkside Drive, Mount Forest on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Following, all are invited to the Parish Hall for a time of fellowship. Spring interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Forest. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Theresa are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or St. Mary of the Purification Roman Catholic Church.
