DELORME, Theresa «Terry» (née Allard)
It is with tremendous sorrow that the family announce the passing of Theresa “Terry” Delorme (Allard) on Tuesday June 4th, 2024, at Health Sciences North.
Born in Espanola in 1929 to Pierre and Olivina Allard. Sister to Fred, Joseph, John, Peter, Julien, June and Lina, all predeceased. Predeceased by her spouse Ronald Emerson “Ed” Delorme. Mother to Susan (Don), Brenda, Gail (Claude), Gary (Ruth-Ann), Brian (Ann), Bruce (predeceased), Debbie (Bob), Craig (Angela), Kevin (Paul) and Kim (Darren). She is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime resident of Copper Cliff where many of her children were raised. Mom was a bit of a card shark and an avid bingo player. She was happiest when her family was together, gathered around the table for a meal (where we always ate her delicious pies), followed by a long night of card and board games. She had a great sense of humour and, even when confronted with declining health, she was still delivering one-liners providing much needed levity during a difficult time.
We’d like to thank Dr. Cox, for her many years of care, Dr. Clendenning, Dr. Presenza and Pat. A special thank you to Goshenite Senior Services and to the staff at Finlandia Lepokoti for their care during her final years. We are also so grateful to her niece Carol for all that she’s done for Mom and our family.
At Mom’s request, a small family service was held shortly after she passed.
