1960-2023
It is
with great sadness that the family of Theresa Marie Reid, age 62, of
Canning, announces her passing in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was
a daughter of the late James «Jim» and Peggy
(Schofield) Reid.
Prior to
retirement, Theresa was a personal care worker at Evergreen Home for
Special Care, starting in 1977. She was a Charter Life Member of the
Kentville and District Kinette Club and was awarded one of the highest
honours of Kinette Canada. For the past 10 years, she led the Club
alternating between Vice President and President. She was also the
Kinette Deputy Governor for the zone and attended many conventions
across Atlantic Canada. Theresa was very involved with the Meadowview
Community Hall, and a dedicated Bingo player, playing throughout the
Annapolis Valley for many years.
Theresa
will be deeply missed by her children, Ashley (Arne) Todd and Matthew
(Melissa) McLean; partner, Gerald Russell and their dog, Molly Mae;
grandchildren, Emma Reeves, Jacob Reeves, Mattie McLean, Ryleigh Buls,
Kirsten Todd, Kayla Curren, Kieran Todd and Seth Whalen;
great-granddaughter, Jacquelyn Curren; siblings, Heather Reid (Lawson
Millett), Ian (Marian) Reid and Lori (Jeff) Keizer; nieces, Jenna
Keizer and Keeley Keizer; nephew, John Reid; and good friend, Diane
Russell.
In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her niece, Carleen;
and her favorite uncle, Paul Schofield.

Cremation has taken place and
visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1,
2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A graveside service
will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 in the Elm Grove
Cemetery, Steam Mill, with a reception to follow in the Meadowview
Community Hall, Meadowview. For those unable to attend, a video
webcast of the service will be available online by Monday, April 3. In
lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Meadowview
Community Hall. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
