Terry Allen Smith -June 8, 1960~April 5, 2024 -It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Terry Smith in the early morning of Friday, April 5, 2024. Terry was an amazing person with a contagious optimistic outlook on life. He filled every room with happiness and joy, as he loved living in the present. Predeceased by his parents, Vivian Smith and William ‘Bill’ Smith (Francine). He will be deeply missed by his sister, Cindy (John – deceased) and brother Britt (Wendy). Survived by his former wife, Margaret. Devoted loving father to Joshua Smith (Kate) and Britany Donis (Kevin), and proud grandpa to Dante Donis, who brought immense happiness to his life. He will be greatly missed by his special friend, Debra D’Alessio, extended family and the countless friends whose lives he touched through his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to helping others.
His memory will be forever cherished in our hearts and his outlook on the love shared between family will continue to inspire us all. To honor Terry, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 1-3pm, a service at 3pm followed by a reception. Please join us at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home at 19 McArthur Avenue in Carleton Place, Ontario.
As Terry was an advocate for all children to play in sports, in lieu of flowers please donate to the Jumpstart Program. This way, Terry can continue to help people through all of us. “
