In loving memory of Teresa Diviesti (nee Basile) 90 years Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Health Science North. Loving wife of Domenico DiViesti predeceased, mother of Anna predeceased (Charlie Paxy) and Dina predeceased (Robert Centis (Sylvie Welsh)). Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Christison (Mychelle), Diandra (Alex Smith) and Lorena Buttazzoni (Griffin Jones), Jordan and Evan Paxy, and her honorary grandchild Mia Giommi. Dear daughter of Nicole and Maria (nee Gioffi) Basile, both predeceased. Dear sister of Rocco predeceased (Angela predeceased), predeceased Antonio “Tonino” predeceased (Betina), predeceased by Vittoria (predeceased Francesco Basile) and predeceased Matteo (predeceased Nanina). Dear daughter in-law Orazio and Anna Maria (nee Coccia) DiViesti both predeceased. Dear sister in-law of Francesco “Frank” predeceased (Jeannette), Domenica predeceased (Cesare DiLella predeceased), predeceased by Antonietta (Antonio Del Mastro predeceased), Libera predeceased (Francesco Trombetta predeceased), Donata predeceased (Pietro Finizio predeceased) and Antonio predeceased (Nina predeceased). Teresa was dearly loved by Jim Christison and family. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Born in Carpino, Foggia, Italy where she married Domenico in 1957 and made the move to Canada in 1960. Teresa was known for her way of caring for her family and friends. She was a passionate cook and baker, feeding everyone who came through her door, and always sending visitors home with leftovers and baking. In the lives of her daughters and grandchildren, Teresa stood as an unwavering pillar, imparting invaluable lessons on the significance of family, the joys of life’s simple pleasures, and the virtues of hard work.

Memorial visitation at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury.
Friends may gather after 10AM on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Memorial service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11AM.
Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or Blue Door Cafe would be appreciated.
