Taylor Andrew Paul Eleniak
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Taylor Eleniak, a remarkable 18-year-old young man who touched the lives of so many and was taken too soon.
Taylor is survived by his parents, Nicola and Ron Eleniak; sister, Tianna (Colton); aunts and uncles, David (Barb), Christine (Ken), Darlene (Ray) and Tamara (Trevor); paternal grandmother, Katie; maternal grandmother, Leda; along with many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Paul; and maternal grandfather, Andrew.
Taylor was not only a gifted athlete but also an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication, passion and unwavering spirit were evident – both on and off the gym floor. Whether it was his incredible athleticism, infectious smile, or the kindness he radiated, he left an indelible mark on our hearts. Taylor had a passion for hunting and every fall would spend many hours patiently waiting for the perfect buck; of which he got a few. He also had a passion for farming, being actively involved on the family farm.
In this difficult time, let us come together to support each other, sharing cherished memories and celebrating the beautiful legacy that Taylor leaves behind. Let us honour his memory by continuing to pursue our passions with the same determination and joy that he displayed.
Thank you to Taylor’s skipping family for “just being there” over the past few days.
Taylor, your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. Fly high.
A Funeral Rite will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Gibbons Community Cultural Centre, 5115 – 51 Street, Gibbons, AB. Interment to follow at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Redwater, AB.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Rope Skipping Alberta Association for a scholarship which will be set up in Taylor’s name.
