Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Tamer Rice announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, June 15, 2024, aged 88 years.
Left with endless beautiful memories are her daughters, Daphne Warren (Keith) and Theresa Wilkins (Blake); grandchildren, Amanda, April, Makayla, Laci-Anna, John and James; sister-in-law, Dorcas McKay; special friends, Alma Gavin and Daphne Dicks, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
Tamer is predeceased by her husband, Roland Rice; son, Dolthon Rice; parents, George and Bessie McKay; siblings, Ellen «Sis» Osbourne (Lewis), Grogan McKay (Grace), Daisy Parsons (Maxwell), Calvin McKay, Heber McKay (Anges) and Stephen Matthais McKay; parents-in-law, John and Dinah Rice; siblings-in-law, Garfield Rice (Beatrice), Gladys Parsons (Alfred), Harold McKay, Hubert McKay (Evelyn) and Edward Rice (Ruby).
Public visitation will take place from St. Swithin’s Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
The funeral service will take place from St. Swithin’s Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 2pm, with Reverend Nancy Hulan officiating. Interment will follow from St. Swithin’s Anglican Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Tamer’s memory to St. Swithin’s Anglican Cemetery Fund, c/o St. Swithin’s Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL A0K 5E0.
After the service, the family will be receiving guests at Tamer’s house for a cup of tea and refreshments.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
