Suzanne Jones (nee Szabo) of Mildmay passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in her 77th year. Profoundly missed by her beloved partner and best friend of 47 years, Wayne Koehmstedt. Adoring mother of Christine Croezen (Mike), Chad Jones (Angie), Amey Flom (Jeff), and Nancey Koehmstedt (Blair Stroeder), and lovingly raised Mike and Penny. Suzanne’s grandchildren and great-grand child meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by Julia (Josh), Justin, Riley, Cody (Vanessa), Joel, Max and Luna. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Richard (Alice Ann) Szabo.
Predeceased by her brother Kenneth (Patricia) Szabo, and parents Elmer and Olga (nee Hango) Szabo.
Sue considered raising her children to be her greatest joy. She was incredibly proud of her Hungarian heritage and cherished her memories of visiting Hungary. She often spoke fondly of childhood memories on the farm and her love of horses. Sue was an incredible cook, an avid bird watcher and a skilled knitter (many feet are kept warm by the slippers she lovingly made).
A private celebration of life for Suzanne will be held at a later date in 2025.
