It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susie Smith, (Torraville), loving daughter, sister, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Susie passed away peacefully at James Paton Memorial Hospital on December 28, 2024, at the age of 64.
She is predeceased by her brother Eugene Torraville, sister Geraldine Torraville, father Donald Torraville and Gerry Smith, father of her children.
Left to mourn are her mother Bertha Torraville; children Sonia Smith (Rod), Nikki Walbourne(John) and Gerry Smith(Lacy); grandchildren Brooke (Jordan), Kylei, Jakson, Anna, Lilly and Hank; sisters Shirley Hodder, Barbara Vivian (Derrick), Judy Torraville, Margaret Torraville , Elsie Keats, Evelyn Perry (Clint), Elizabeth Torraville (Tyler); brother Max Torraville (Donna) and a close circle of loving friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Gander Cancer Clinic and the nurses at James Paton Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to her sister Shirley, granddaughter Brooke and Jordan Holloway who supported her each and every day.
Visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home in Gander on Tuesday December 31, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Wings Point, Gander Bay.
